Fenavem, Latam’s Biggest Furniture Trade Fair, Opens in Brazil

Starting this Monday, August 1st, in São Paulo, Brazil, is the 24th edition of the International Trade Fair for Furniture Exports and Sales (Fenavem).

According to information from the organization, this is the greatest event in the furniture sector in Latin America. The fair will take place in the exhibits park at the Anhembi.


The opening ceremony, which will take place at 1 pm, will be attended by Brazil’s Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan; the president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp), Paulo Skaf and the president of the Brazilian Furniture Industry Association (Abimovel), Domingos Rigoni.


The furniture sector has more than 32,000 companies in Brazil and generates 450,000 jobs. During the first semester, always according to the fair’s organization, the sector had a 19% increase in comparison with the same period last year.
