Brazil’s Port of Santos Adopts Verint’s Security

US-based Verint Systems Inc. a leading provider of analytic software-based solutions for communications interception, networked video security and business intelligence, today announced that Brazil’s Port Authority of the City of Santos is deploying Verint’s Networked Video Solution to enhance security at the Port of Santos.

Located on Brazil’s southeastern coast and connected by rail to São Paulo and the Brazilian interior, the Port of Santos is the country’s largest port, serving as an industrial and agricultural export hub for South America’s entire southern cone.

The Verint Networked Video Solution, delivered in conjunction with partners Trade Informatica and Trielo, will enable the Port of Santos to enhance the security of its perimeter and operations by centrally managing and analyzing video transmitted over wireless and wireline networks.

It will also help the port to comply with the International Maritime Organization’s new International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, which specifies security and surveillance procedures for all international ports.

“We are pleased to be working with the Port of Santos,” said Dan Bodner, President and CEO of Verint Systems Inc. “We have significant experience helping ports enhance security and are committed to developing new analytic solutions to enable them to meet their increasingly stringent security objectives.”

Verint’s Networked Video Solutions enable government and commercial organizations to enhance the security of their facilities by networking video across multiple locations and applying advanced content analytics to extract actionable intelligence from live and stored video.

By alerting security personnel to potential security threats, Verint’s Networked Video Solutions are designed to help organizations prevent security breaches and improve response time.

Verint Systems Inc., headquartered in Melville, New York, is a leading provider of analytic software-based solutions for communications interception, networked video security and business intelligence.
