Brazil Tiles and Stones Find Place in the World

The 3rd Revestir, International Tiles and Stones Trade Fair, will gather 130 companies and is expected to have a turnover of more than US$ 100 million in business deals throughout 2005.

The fair will take place at the Transamerica Expo Center, in the city of São Paulo, from the 8th to 11th of March.

Amongst architects, engineers, producers and international buyers, the public at Revestir 2005 may reach 30,000 people, 20% more than the 25,000 visitors in 2004.

“Revestir created a new business pole for the tiles manufacturers in Brazil and the world market. It is the new sensation of the moment,” states Carlos Henrique Paes de Barros, director of the event.

According to him, the diversity of products meet demands in the entire civil construction chain and the sophisticated structure makes the number of international visitors increase every year.

In the 2004 edition, more than 600 foreigner visitors from 57 countries circulated through the 20,000 square meters of the convention center. In 2005, the fair will host 1,000 professionals from abroad.

The participation of tile manufacturers from many countries, as well as machines and equipment manufacturers and raw material suppliers, reasserts Revestir’s position amongst the top 5 most important international trade shows.

The presence of 15 companies from Turkey in this year’s edition is an example of this. Italian, Chinese and Spanish companies also reserved a spot at Revestir 2005.
