Brazil Expecting 3,000 Importers from 100 Countries at Francal Shoe Fair

Brazil’s International Trade Fair of Shoes, Fashion Accessories, Machinery and Components (Francal) president, Abdala Jamil Abdala, expects 60,000 buyers to visit the event, where 3,000 are importers from 100 countries.

“We have the great stage for the shoe industry at Francal,” he said today, during the event’s opening ceremony. Francal is the greatest fair in the shoe sector in Brazil and goes on to the 22nd of July.

According to Abdala, Brazil has high quality and value added products. “We want more sales and to generate more jobs, that is what interests us,” he declared.

“The exchange value is bringing us difficulties, not only to keep exports, but also causing a drop in the exports volume,” he added, referring to the fact that the Brazilian real has appreciated strongly against the American dollar in the last months, making Brazilian products more expensive abroad.
