My personal opinion: 1) Any. 2) ? 3) Really varies from region to region. 4) In my lifetime, I could say the return of democracy, but the politicians in power changed just now, and not then. 5) US government: Paranoic and power hungry. Us citizens: Bold 6) Yes and No, I love my homeland, yet I find it to be hard to maintain my lifestyle, and pass it over to the next generation. Good luck

3) Really varies from region to region. - - - - - - - - - so what's the dynamic like in Minas or people from Minas? There are many Brasilian immigrants...almost entirely from that state in my area and maybe this is totally off the mark, but the men seem to keep a rather short leash on their girlfriends and wives...setting up jobs for them, telling them what to wear etcetera

Hi, Linda: These are my answers to your research questions: a) I'd say "Carnival". b) The parrot on account of the colors of its feathers, which are the same colors as in the Brazilian flag. c) Very hard-working women today having the same role as men. Brazilian men portrayed as machos, in my opinion, is a myth. d) I choose a political event: the campaign and rallies for the return of the elections for the president of Brazil back in 1985 at the end of the military ruling. The campaign was known as "Diretas Já". e) People either like it or hate it. I was suprised to see many of my fellow Brazilians show their disregard for the United States especially after the September 11 attacks. f) Yep.
