Dollar Is Flying Away from Brazil

US dollar In the first half of November, more dollars left Brazil than entered it. The foreign currency inflow into and outflow from Brazil, up to November 14th, generated a negative result of US$ 877 million. This information was disclosed November 19 by the Brazilian Central Bank.

In the same period last year, the inflow of dollars was greater than the outflow, generating a positive result of US$ 3.182 billion. In the accumulated result for the year, the surplus is US$ 11.672 billion, against a positive result of US$ 79.958 billion registered in the same period in 2007.

The currency flow includes financial and trade figures. The financial account shows the inflow and outflow of funds from the stock market, investment in bonds, profit and dividend transfers abroad and foreign direct investment, among other operations. This account is more subject to financial market oscillation and usually becomes negative in moments of economic turbulence.

The commercial account includes trade balance figures (exports and imports) and Advances on Exchange Contracts (ACC) and advance payments for exports (PA), which is financing turned to Brazilian exporters.

The negative result in the month is due to the negative result of the financial account US$ 1.962 billion. Commercial exchanges, in turn, generated a positive result of US$ 1.084 billion in the period, with exports of US$ 5.728 billion, imports of US$ 4.644 billion, US$ 1.368 billion in ACC and US$ 1.169 billion in PA.

In the accumulated result for the year, the financial account posted a negative result of US$ 34.293 billion. The balance of commercial operations was 45.965 billion reais, with exports of US$ 168.817 billion, ACC of US$ 40.718 billion, PA of US$ 41.859 billion and imports of US$ 122.852 billion.

What are those dollars really worth?
Everything is cheap again. Brazillieros are returning on flights from the US but change their minds before trhe plane even lands in Sao Paulo. In mid-flight they see some news that twists their heads. You have to give the Americans credit that they can get you to buy anything. Such is a con game, a pyramid scheme, ….a beautiful woman of biblical proportions. Well, your money is as good with the whore as it is with the banker, no? Both have their charms. one inflates your ego and the other inflates your pockets, but at the end of the night the result is the same.
Do you see that the Muslims are buying sugar and eggs? The dirt poor farmer has more dignity when the sun rises…and maybe more money than he had yesterday.

you so clearly have no clue what you are talking about?

Certainly more than yours…wether you like it or not !
You dont even have a counter arguments…..because you have none !
What else could be expected from an ignorant like you.
Dont worry, you are not the only junkie here.

No doubt that you are typically for a Nooo Free Speech and Nooo Free Thinkings, just like Chavez and Castro if critics are against them !!!!

Bananas Republics exist all over South America !

You remind me a fairly recent article here when a Brazilian city Mayor stated “nobody has any business saying anything negative about us
And a newstand vendor (similar to you) also said “”As long as you keep talking negatively about the mayor, I am not allowed to circulate your newspaper”

Hope your wish come true !

Anyway….enjoy your pint of ethanol…or your gallon !

“When it is in fact more Brazilian Reals….are converted in other currencies ! “

Why do you bother wasting your time typing when you so clearly have no clue what you are talking about?

I wish this blog had an “ignore” feature, that way you could be exiled and your ignorance kept from public view.

Oh great and wise Ch.c tell this four legged ugly toad how is it that an interest rate of 14% is bad for foreign investment. The value of the Real against the Dollar has more to do with the Dollar as a safe haven then it does to fundamental weakness of the Real. This is manifest against all currencies even the Swiss Franc. It stands to reason, barring inflation that if you were to invest $100,000 in a Brazilian bank at 14% that barring inflation the Real at a constant 2.5 to the dollar would produce a secure investment at 14%, much higher than U.S. government bonds at 1% evem after conversion back to dollars.

What a joke “In the first half of November, more dollars left Brazil”
When it is in fact more Brazilian Reals….are converted in other currencies !
Somewhat funny for a Brazilian getting the World Highest Bank Deposit Rate, when he prefers to receive a much much much lower rate but in another currency !
Sign of strength or weakness…in Brazil ?
If Brazilians dont trust their currency, why should foreigners trust that currency ??????

If I set up a US$ account at Bank Itau in SP, or at Bank Itau in the Bahamas, or at Deusche Bank in Germany, it wont affect the US$ currency rate if I transfer these US dollars to Wells Fargo in the USA !

TO CHANGE THE VALUE OF A CURREENCY, THERE MUST BE A CONVERSION FROM ONE CURRENCY TO ANOTHER !

But coming from the Disinformation & Propaganda Dept at the Planalto Palacio, next to Lula office, manipulation of reality is the norm…..of course. Unless coming from one or more JUNKIES who got their SP University Degree Certificate….with the purchase of 6 rolls packs of toilet paper ! Such as the new forum member SAGE !!!!!!

    😀 😉 😀 😉
